Wholesale Flower Brooches

I decided to offer limited wholesale quantities of my flower brooches, available in my Etsy shop.
This grouping of 10 assorted brooches is the first batch, all in jewel tones.

I hope to soon have available another grouping, all in Spring colors.

I had these cards made, in postcard size, to be included with my wholesale orders. They have a cute button and thread illustration, since each of my flowers is hand cut and hand sewn, many with button centers. I ordered these from Vistaprint.

I just punched two holes in each card to allow the brooch to be "pinned" to the card.

The back of each card includes info about the recycled nature of all my FeltSewGood products. I also included my Etsy shop and blog web addresses.

I usually make tags for all my handbags and zip pouches from business cards with jute hangars. I thought these postcards were a nice way to show off the flowers.

Do you make your own tags or labels? Or do you purchase or custom order your labels?

Hearts for Your Valentine!

I've been working on some new Valentine and heart themed goodies for my Etsy shop. As I've mentioned before, hearts are one of my favorites shapes to work with and I've come up with a few new ways to incorporate them in my felted wool projects.

I'll have a shop update on Monday, January 25th with new Heart Felt brooches in Valentine colors and some other new Heart Felt items.

Making Felt Balls

I've been making some new felt balls for my felted wool poppy brooches.

At first try, I needle felted the center balls for my felted poppy brooches. This time I used the wet felting technique. I coiled up wisps of wool roving into a loose ball. Then I just dampened the wool. Next I made my hands soapy and rolled the ball lightly between my palms. As the ball started to harden, I could apply more pressure. Once it all comes together, I rinsed in cool water to rinse out the soap. I need a little more practice, but this method works very well.

Once I have the flowers assembled, I'll be listing more felted flower poppies in my Etsy shop, Felt Sew Good! And be sure to check out the Customer Appreciation Giveaway going on in my shop through the month of November! You could win a felted poppy brooch and other great prizes.

Heart Felt Brooches

I made a new batch of "Heart Felt" brooches.

These cute, stuffed, heart shaped pins were made from felted, recyled wool sweaters. Each heart is two layers of felted wool and "puffed" with a little stuffing. I added a small appliqued heart and embroidery to each one. They are a combination of bright colors - pink, purple and red and each one is different and unique. They are available in my Etsy shop. Get one for yourself or someone you love!

Fresh Blooming Flowers

It seems there are new flowers blooming everyday in the garden.

Hibiscus

Clematis

Goat's beard

Black-eyed susan

And, there are also new felted flower brooches available in my Etsy shop, FeltSewGood. These are pretty flowers that you can wear. I made them out of felted, recycled wool sweaters and wool roving. For more photos and information see my shop here.

Pretty Beaded Flower Brooch

Oh, I do love flowers. These pretty flower brooches would add cheer to your day and be a lovely accent to just about any outfit.

I think these look like little exotic, tropical flowers.

And a pretty beaded rose is a nice touch anytime.

I've made all these flowers from felted, recycled wool sweaters. I added a swirl of seed beads, some embroidered leaves and have sewn a pin back securely in place. They would be a lovely accent to a dress, sweater, wrap, attached to a summer handbag or even worn with jeans. These and many more floral accessories are available in my Etsy shop today.

Flowers for Mom

Have a look at some of the flower brooches I've made. They are available for purchase in my shop. Beautiful for any season and a lovely accent to any outfit. They are a great accessory or would look beautiful tied to a package instead of a bow! What a lovely gift for Mom.
