The Featured Blogger, from the Etsy Bloggers Team, for the month of September is DesignsbyVanessa! Vanessa has a self described "obsession for all things birdie!" Her lovely Etsy shop features jewelry and cards, all with a bird theme. Here are a few of my favorites from her shop.

Birds and Blooms

Come on in to the garden and have a look around! The flowers are blooming and the birds are singing. It has been a beautiful day today.

It looks like the bluebirds are starting to build a nest in the nesting box. We'll be keeping a watchful eye on them and I'll share some more photos next week. I hope your garden is blooming!

Bluebirds in the Garden

A pair of Eastern Bluebirds are building a nest in one of our nesting boxes!

They haven't used the boxes for a couple of years, so it's good to have them back. The nesting box is close to our screened porch so we have a great view of the pretty little birds.

They have a distinctly musical call and it's easy to tell when they are in the yard. When they are out in the sun, their backs are a deep blue, especially the male.
